Black Vultures

A face only a mother could love! These creatures are survivors, Coragyps atratus, the American Black Vulture, unrelated to the Eurasian black vulture, these birds can have a wingspan of roughly five feet.

It’s range is from the Middle to southern part of the USA through most of South America. With an excellent sense of smell, this vulture is a scavenger eating mostly meat from dead animals, but will also eat eggs and kill small newborn animals.
